  1. Portable keyboards are such a good idea. When Sister Mary Theophane asked my parents to buy me a piano so I could practice at home, she suggested they buy an old but good-sounding upright, and place it in our basement playroom. Unfortunately, Mother decided she wanted a maple spinet, and put it in the living room, where no one could practice since that was also where the television was.
